On the night of our arrival we decided to test the Metro system with a nice trip into town, and also to see if Mimika was right. Well, no surprise there. She was wrong and Daniel was right. It only took 15 minutes, not 40. We had a walk around the Eiffel Tower but didn't go up it as the cloud was quite low. Fabulous views around there. I was very struck by how enormous the Eiffel Tower is when you get very close to it.
